Aug 16, 2019 Internet / Network Connection get disconnected And Running The network Troubleshooter by right click on Network icon, results One or more network protocols are missing. Windows Sockets registry entries that are required for network connectivity. May 29, 2016 I have a Lenovo Z575 laptop w/ Windows 10. I recently updated to Windows 10 a couple months ago and everything was fine up until recently. I've been having this issue the past couple of days where I try to load up a webpage, it states that connection has timed out, so I use the Troubleshoot Problems option for my wifi, and it gives me the statement 'One or more network protocols are missing'. Mar 13, 2016 One or more network protocols are missing, solution As for the One or more network protocols are missing from this computer message I think there is a bug in Windows 10 and at this point in time you can't get rid of it but your network card will work.
If you cannot connect to the Internet, your Internet Protocol or TCP/IP may have been corrupted, and you may have to reset TCP/IP. TCP/IP is one of the core components required by your Windows computer to connect successfully to the Internet. In such a situation, even though you may be physically connected to the Internet, packets do not get transferred over the network and you may see the “The page cannot be displayed” message when you try to connect to a URL.
If your Windows 10/8/7 computer is unable to connect to the Internet, you may want to reset TCP/IP. Do remember to create a system restore point first. If you are not able to browse the internet, but able to ping other IP address, then resetting TCP/IP works.
Reset TCP/IP using NetShell utility
You can reset Reset Internet Protocol to its default state using the NetShell or netsh utility.
To do so, open an elevated command prompt, type the following and hit Enter:
This will generate a log file:
If you are using IPv4, type the following and hit Enter:

If you use IPv6, type the following and hit Enter:
When you run the command, TCP/IP is reset and the actions taken are recorded in the log file, created in the current directory, named here as resettcpip.txt.
When you run this reset command, it overwrites the following registry keys, both of which are used by TCP/IP:
- SYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesTcpipParameters
- SYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesDHCPParameters
This has the same effect as removing and reinstalling TCP/IP.
Reset Internet Protocol using Fix It
You can take the easy way out. Use this Microsoft Fix It 50199 to easily and automatically reset Internet Protocol.
TIP: Our portable freeware FixWin allows you to reset this and most other Windows settings or functions with a single click.

Earlier this month I bough a new laptop with Windows 10 already installed on it and I was not having any problems with the WiFi or internet at all and then last week I updated Windows 10 to the newer update version of it and since then I have been having problems with the Wifi and internet. I keep on getting the Missing Network Protocols whenever I do the troubleshoot and I have searched for every kind of solution and nothing is working. The only thing I have not tried yet is the recovery or reset option on the laptop. What's even weirder its only for my Wifi at home because I have tried a Wifi at another location and it works perfectly. When I am at work I even use the hotspot from my phone and the internet works fine from there as well. I can't use the phone hotspot at home because I live in the middle of nowhere and I don't get a signal unless if I have my phone hooked up to my home Wifi which my phone, iPad and Xbox One can all connect to my home Wifi without a problem, its just my laptop that is having the problem with connecting to the internet. I even did a factory reset on my router to see if that work and its still kind of acting up a bit. So I am trying to see if there is anyone out there that can help. Like I said earlier, I have searched and tried everything else that deals with the Missing Network Protocols and nothing is working and the only thing I haven't done yet is do the recovery/reset the laptop.
